TERMS OF USE FOR PRIVATE COACHING

13. Ballroom Strength private coaching is provided by Paul Iliffe (hereafter “the coach”) to the client(s). There are two coaching options available: individual (for 1 person) and partners (for 2 people who form a competitive dance couple).

14. The coaching method has the following structure for both options.

14.1. The coach and the client(s) have a discussion once per calendar month. The discussion between the coach and the client(s) can be arranged by a call, video call, or in person, if possible. The discussion is arranged at a convenient time for both parties. Each discussion lasts up to approximately 1 hour.

14.2. If you need to cancel your session, clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

14.3. During the discussion the coach and the client(s) discuss elements of the client(s)’s athletic development. This may include the client(s)’s goals, schedule, constraints, current athletic ability, Ballroom dance work, strength work, stamina work, any other physical exercise, injuries past and present, diet, hydration, sleep, and other factors. The coach may demonstrate some exercises and may ask the client(s) to perform some exercises, in order to review the exercise technique.

14.4. After each discussion the coach will provide to the client(s)
-    guidance on the next month’s training plan
and/or
-    recommendations on actions to address non-training activity (such as recovery protocols).

14.5. The client(s) may contact the coach via email between monthly discussions, to ask questions about the training programme. In such cases the coach will provide an answer when possible.

15. The coach will maintain confidentiality about everything, which is discussed between the coach and client(s).

16. The client(s) should provide feedback to the coach, so that he can modify the training programme appropriately. This feedback can be provided during the monthly sessions or, if there is some urgency, between the monthly sessions. Good feedback includes quantitative information (e.g. exercises done, sets-reps numbers, and weights used) and qualitative information (e.g. your energy levels, digestion, general mood, pain, etc.).

17. This process is iterative and it can take many months to years to reach your athletic goals. To become your most athletic self, you must assess your ability, test training methods, review the outcomes, and modify your training and other factors accordingly. Private coaching is intended to help you with this iterative process.
